Barron Mind studio is Nicholas Barron’s Artistic and Creative Man cave/hub/meeting place.
I’ve been in my Barron mind studio since May of 2019. Acquiring this space changed my life and my future.
I also live in the building and have a water view and recently opened my Art gallery 2 doors East of my studio. I feel like my presence in Rogers Park and at this corner enhances the neighborhood as my studio is a hub/incubator/workshop/and working artists studio. Irving Zucker who brought Keith Haring to Chicago to paint a 400’ wall in 1989 with CPS schoolkids, gave me a photo he took of Haring and Jean michel Basquiat-only 2 pics exist of them together. Irving is one of my collectors. I have my father’s Barron gallery signs on the wall in both the studio and gallery. Most importantly I have 2 rooms with almost 200 paintings for sale at any given time. I paint at least 5 days a week. I also repaint paintings all the time until they work. The space is comfy and inviting and where i sell most of my paintings on a daily basis. My production Company is called “Draw on everything “ productions and i literally have painted on cars and furniture, guitars, clothing and shoes, etc. I have painted many guitars (GuitART) and have a few for sale in the shop along with an array of funky chairs and tables.
Where he most often paints-covered in white paint writing like a menu and what Nicholas calls his Nicktionary. There are 2 decent sized rooms with the walls lined with his work which tend to be either 3’x4’ and 4’x5’. In the second room which is for storage and showing he has a 9’x7’ painted raw canvas as a room Divider.
